We are the Attention in NeuroDevelopment (AND) Lab located at the University of Louisville. At the AND Lab, we study how children’s growing brains help them pay attention to the world around them, along with their thoughts and actions. We hope to better understand how differences in children’s environments and experiences impact their attention and brain development, all with the added goal of learning how their attention helps them succeed in school subjects like math. When children come into our lab for a study, they may play computer games that measure their attention and complete short math and reading assessments, while parents may be asked to complete surveys about home life and experiences. We have several ongoing studies that parents can sign up for on our website and we offer compensation for our participants.
