This past Saturday, I set up my Big Local Giveaway booth at the Douglass Loop Farmers Market—and wow, what a day! I do this once a month, and let me tell you: it’s both the hardest day of the month and the most rewarding.
The market was buzzing! Fellow vendors were serving up the freshest fruits and veggies, tastiest baked goods, gorgeous flowers, and unique local treasures you can’t find anywhere else. Families came out to shop, dance along with live music, and discover something new together. And the dogs—so many dogs! 🐶 (Yes, I tried to pet every single one.)
As a Louisville transplant, I’ve fallen in love with this city’s energy, especially its vibrant and inclusive community. The folks at Douglass Loop Farmers Market are doing their best to create such a special, welcoming place for that community to gather. And behind the scenes? The vendors work tirelessly all week to bring you the very best Kentucky has to offer.
